INFORMS is the largest society in the world for professionals in the field of operations research, management science and analytics. The purpose of the Student Chapter Annual Awards is to recognize achievements of student chapters.
The UT Austin INFORMS student chapter was previously recognized with the distinction in 2013 and 2014. Currently, the chapter consists of six Ph.D. students and one master’s degree student in the Operations Research and Industrial Engineering program who recently started two new ventures, a newsletter and an academic research competition.
The award will be presented at the upcoming INFORMS Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 14.
